I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14 and I just turned 33, shit… is that really almost 20 years? Anyway, I have always wanted a wall with cool guitars hanging on it and now I finally have it!
This build was pretty much and improvisation. I didn’t really have many ideas initially other than I had already purchased tool hangers from the Depot. I had some left over old Douglas fir 1x6s from a previous build that came from the old bowling alley that recently closed on Powell and had a simple design in mind. So I finagled the boards I had left together into this beautiful beast.
Guitars from left to right:
- 2000 Fender Stratocaster American Standard in Sunburst – Custom fat 59 pickups and tortoise pickguard with black hardware, I call her Betty.
- 2003ish, that’s the year I got it, Martin D15 Dreadnought, I call her Brown Eyes.
- 1999 Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop 1960 Relic, I call her Marilyn.
