I have been going to Silver Lake Resort since I was 5 years old and the tradition lives on to this day, albeit in a different form. We have known the Jones family, the owner of SLR, for over 25 years. They have always been such generous hosts to us and we wanted to give something back to a place that we love so much.

A couple of years ago, while sitting in a boat waiting for the fish to wake up, my dad had the idea of approaching the Joneses about a new website. It was a great idea because their site back then looked like it was from the late ’90s and I’m pretty sure it was.

Talk about labors of love, this was it. We even went back up to SLR that same year to photograph every cabin, which was amazing because as a kid I wondered what all the other cabins looked like inside and I got my chance. The site turned out phenomenal and we got to leave our little mark on the over 100 year history of Silver Lake Resort.
